WONDER ABOUT PANAMA

Panama city is a small region where, several lakes are linked together that lead us to another place. It is located at Central America and also known as 'Isthmus of Panama' where, the narrow bridge of land that connects North and South America. Here, what we wonder about Panama is, a canal that dissects the isthmus and connect the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through 3 locks overall. I have a question for you, How does two oceans get mixed when they have uneven surface area and depth? Woah! This Panama canal construction is absolutely an incredible! The construction was initiated on the year 1881 and got successfully completed on 1914. Nearly 7000 people died during this construction and just imagine that how many people would have been worked for this project. OH GOD! CHILLS OVER MY HAND!

This is the part where you should think in-depth about this place, listen carefully. In the early 16th century, if a ship from New York travels to San Francisco, they need to round the whole South America and then would reach their targeted place. Can you just think how long it would take to sail over one whole country?! If my guess is right, then it would be like 8 months of sea travel. WON`T ANY OF`EM GET A KINDA SEA SICKNESS? HAHA. THEY WOULD`VE PREPLANNED EVERYTHING NAH!
So I`m coming back to the point, as months and years went by traveling through the same route, people found that as an uneasy one then the canal`s construction was suggested in 1524 to CHARLES V. And you must wonder about one thing that, the construction was made only by hands. And here`s the matching video. But due to wars and other political conflicts, the project was put to an permanent hold. Later, the construction was complete in 1914, consuming a total of 500 million dollars.

And I decided to write a blog about the canal which makes people happy and satisfied like me who dream to travel around the world. My dad always used to tell me amazing tourist places for travelling and everyday I`ll be dreaming about them like, "what if I`m were at that place like a world traveler". And I chase those dreams till this day. So, I`ve added the world`s one of the major engineering achievements called the Panama canal to my visiting list.
